Before 2025, event names often included the organising club’s name followed by additional information in brackets. The current system allows custom event names, with specific data fields replacing the information previously included in brackets.

Event Naming Standards

  • Hill Climbs:
    • Format: [course name] Hill Climb
    • Example: "The Rake Hill Climb" or "Winnats Pass Hill Climb"
  • Time Trials (used for non-Hill Climbs and Hill Climbs with no course name):
    • Format: [club name] [event type (if a club event)] [distance/duration] [TTT with team size]
    • Example: "Cardiff 100 Miles RCC 15" or "Blaydon CC 19 2-Up TTT"

Custom Names

  • Specific event names like "Ely & District Hardriders 25" or "Mad March 10"
  • Simplified names when full club details aren’t needed, e.g. "Tricycle Association 10"
  • Joint promotions, e.g. “North Hampshire RC / Reading CC 10”
  • National events, e.g. "RTTC National 25 Mile Championship"
  • Charity events, e.g. “Wrekinsort Charity 17”
  • Note Championship names will be included in separate data fields (tokens) rather than in the event name unless the event is to be named solely as the championship

Event Types

  • Type A: Open events (with some exceptions). Labels like "Open" indicate eligibility.
  • Type B: Club events, including Inter-club, Combined Clubs events or special events

Series names will generally be represented by tags rather than in the event name, except for specific cases like CTT Classic series events.
