The Postponed status temporarily places an event on hold while keeping all existing entries intact. This option is useful when an event with paid entries needs to be rescheduled due to factors such as weather, roadworks, or a change of organiser. Unlike cancelling an event—which removes all entries and requires the event to be recreated—postponing preserves the event and its participants.

When an Event is Postponed
  • Riders cannot enter or withdraw while the event remains postponed.
  • An automatic email is sent to all riders, notifying them that:

"The <event name> on <event date> will not take place as planned. A decision is yet to be made on whether this event will be rescheduled or cancelled. You will be notified once a decision has been made."

Rescheduling and Reapproval

Once the organiser and district agree on a new date:

  1. The event date must be updated.
  2. The event must be re-approved before it appears in rider searches.
  3. The event can be re-approved as either Open for Entry or Closed for Entry.
  4. The organiser must proactively email all riders with the updated event details.

Existing riders may then withdraw if they wish. If the event is Open for Entry, new riders can sign up.

Events can be postponed at any stage, regardless of whether entries have been accepted.
